Primary Purpose
Under general supervision, maintain, repair, and install electrical systems, services, and equipment for the district. Ensure the safe condition and operation of all electrical fixtures and systems in district facilities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Driver’s License (with less than 10 points on record). To drive an Alvin ISD vehicle, employees must meet Transportation Code 521.002 guidelines. Excess points may disqualify an employee from driving district vehicles.
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Must pass drug test and background check
- Knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring, and motor operation
- Knowledge of local electrical codes
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and reference materials
- Ability to follow instructions and perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical problems
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
Experience
Minimum of five years in a related field.
Salary: Auxiliary PG7/261 days, Starting at $47,840.
