Job Description: Journeyman Electrician

We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician with a strong work ethic and extensive experience in both commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will be able to complete projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential and commercial settings.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

• Work on both commercial and residential retrofit and upfit projects.

• Troubleshoot and respond to service calls efficiently.

• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as framers and carpenters, to ensure project completion.

• Conduct inspections to identify potential electrical hazards or code violations.

• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of consecutive, verifiable employment as an electrician.

• Must have a clean driver's license.

• Must have a good work ethic.

• Must live within 30 minutes of Waxhaw, NC.

• Ability to complete a residential/commercial project from start to finish with little supervision.

• Strong skills in commercial and residential wiring in finished spaces.

• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety practices.

• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues quickly.

• Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting heavy objects.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

• Great communication skills are a must.
