Industrial Electrician

Overview:

Seeking a skilled Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems that power essential equipment and infrastructure. This role involves working on both underground and surface electrical systems in a demanding industrial environment. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who excels in hands-on electrical work and enjoys solving complex challenges in unique settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance, installation, and repair of all electrical systems, including motors, generators, transformers, and lighting.
• Work with 480 VAC 3-phase motor control systems and perform diagnostics on motor-controlled devices and electrical components.
• Troubleshoot, isolate, and correct electrical system malfunctions and failures.
• Utilize various hand and diagnostic tools to test and repair equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area through daily inspections and housekeeping.
• Accurately complete paperwork and shift reports.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and follow all safety protocols and procedures.
• Report any safety hazards or production-impacting issues to management promptly.
• Cross-train and assist with other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as an Electrician in an industrial environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in industrial electrical systems and components.
• Familiarity with PLCs (programmable logic controllers) preferred.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Hands-on experience with equipment such as electrical switchgear, motor starters, transformers, VFDs, relay logic, and more.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (spoken and written).

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to wear all required PPE, including steel-toed boots and safety glasses.
• Able to work in varying temperatures, including outdoor environments year-round.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50+ lbs.
• Able to climb, crawl, stoop, bend, squat, and reach as required.
• Must pass a physical exam and drug screening.
