MHC Healthcare is seeking a Human Resources Onboarding Specialist to join the Human Resources team at the Marana Main Health Center, located in the heart of Marana, AZ.The Human Resources Onboarding Specialist is responsible for administering the employee onboarding process, maintaining and managing employee data, and supporting and improving HR workflow efficiency. MHC Healthcare is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), with 13 sites in Tucson and Pima County.Our mission is to improve our Community by providing exceptional, whole-person healthcare.

The following qualifications are required:

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • 2 years experience in Human Resources field, to include employee onboarding and management of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) processes
  • Current Arizona drivers license with clean driving record and proof of current vehicle insurance (39-month MVR will be run by MHC)

The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • Healthcare-related administrative experience
  • Certification in Human Resources (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent)

Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered if applicable and must be directly related to the functions and body of knowledge required to successfully perform the job.

This position has the following supervisory responsibility:

May occasionally provide direction, training, or guidance to others.

The ideal candidate will also possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Ability to resolve issues and escalate when appropriate by utilizing knowledge of established policies and procedures, internal process guides, and external resources.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and produce quality results on time with attention to detail.
  • Ability to self-audit work for accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, research, analyze, create, and update detailed processes, reports, audits, and workflows.
  • Ability to implement and enforce timelines to streamline employee processes.
  • Knowledge of HR policy design and compliance with relevant federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills with emphasis on responsiveness, building trust, mutual respect, and courtesy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administers process for onboarding and transitioning employees with a focus on time-to-hire, manager satisfaction, employee retention, and employee experience.
  • Maintains continuous communication with managers and leadership as related to employee onboarding and transitions.
  • Assesses and evaluates onboarding processes, pre-employment requirements, and background verification processes for efficiency and effectiveness and makes recommendations for workflow improvements.
  • Researches, evaluates, and makes recommendations for HR service vendors and products.
  • Researches, tests, and troubleshoots HR systems and technology.
  • Develops and supports HR process improvements.
  • Oversees and administers the HR document management process for physical and electronic employee records.
  • Researches, develops, and updates policies and procedures for compliance with relevant federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Provides management, employees, and HR staff with guidance and support to successfully navigate organizational processes and to enhance the employee experience.
  • Provides individualized guidance to staff regarding policies and procedures, including use of HRIS.
  • Generates reports on a recurring and as-requested basis.
  • Provides administrative and collaborative support to HR team in areas of HR administration, recruiting, benefits, leaves of absence, employee relations, and compensation.
  • Maintains working knowledge of all functional areas of Human Resources.
  • Adheres to strict confidentiality policies.
