Job Description

MHC Healthcare is seeking a Human Resources Administrative Coordinator to join the Human Resources team at the Marana Main Health Center, located in the heart of Marana, AZ.The Human Resources Administrative Coordinator provides direct administrative support in the areas of employee onboarding and maintenance and workflow of employee data, and supports employees with navigation of organizational processes related to Human Resources functions. MHC Healthcare is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), with 13 sites in Tucson and Pima County.Our mission is to improve our Community by providing exceptional, whole-person healthcare.

The following qualifications are required:

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • 1 year of experience in Human Resources field, to include Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Current Arizona driver’s license with clean driving record and proof of current vehicle insurance (39-month MVR will be run by MHC)

The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • Healthcare-related administrative experience
  • Certification in Human Resources (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent)

Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered if applicable and must be directly related to the functions and body of knowledge required to successfully perform the job.

This position has the following supervisory responsibility:

Does not direct or supervise others.

The ideal candidate will also possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Ability to resolve routine issues and escalate as appropriate utilizing internal process guides and external resources.
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to comprehend and provide standard interpretation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and produce quality results on time with attention to detail.
  • Ability to self-audit work for accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, follow detailed processes, and utilize technology.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills with emphasis on responsiveness, building trust, mutual respect, and courtesy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates administrative aspects of onboarding and transitioning employees.
  • Manages employee access to HR systems and technology.
  • Provides instruction to employees regarding policies and procedures, including use of HRIS.
  • Assists with the onboarding process, pre-employment requirements, and background verification processes.
  • Obtains and tracks employee documents and schedules and coordinates appointments related to employment.
  • Creates employee files and folders in HRIS.
  • Obtains, scans, and uploads HR documents according to established procedures, and follows the naming criteria for employee documents within HRIS.
  • Performs routine administrative duties for HR department (employee ID badges, photos, faxes, verification of employment, phone triage, purchase orders, and procurement of office supplies).
  • Generates reports on a recurring and as-requested basis.
  • Adheres to strict confidentiality policies.
