The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.

Key Responsibilities for this role are:

Employee Relations

  • Handle employee relations, including addressing grievances and resolving workplace disputes.
  • Foster a positive company culture and ensure employee engagement.

Compliance and Regulations

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and workplace regulations.
  • Stay updated on local, regional, and national safety regulations and ensure adherence.

Payroll and Benefits

  • Process payroll, manage employee benefits, and maintain accurate employee records.

Performance Management

  • Manage performance reviews in collaboration with field leadership.
  • Develop and implement employee development programs.

Safety and Compliance

  • Develop and enforce safety protocols, including regular inspections and emergency response plans.
  • Implement a system for reporting accidents and incidents, and conduct thorough investigations.

Subcontractor Management

  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure they understand project requirements and timelines.
  • Verify subcontractor compliance with safety and labor regulations.
  • Regularly assess subcontractor performance and address any issues promptly.

Project-Based HR Management

  • Collaborate with project managers to predict labor needs for upcoming projects.
  • Ensure all roles and responsibilities are clearly documented for each project.
  • Manage relationships with unions and ensure compliance with union regulations and wage requirements.

Employee Engagement

  • Maintain open and transparent communication with the workforce.
  • Develop programs to boost morale and engagement, such as team-building activities and recognition programs.
