Job Title: HR Generalist (Contract)

Location: Norwalk, CA

Pay Rate: $35–$38/hour

About the Role:

LHH is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to support our client's manufacturing facility in Norwalk. As the sole HR professional in a team of under 100 employees, you’ll play a critical role in managing day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, and union interactions. This is a contract position for 4 months, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for all employees and management
  • Manage employee relations, performance issues, and conflict resolution
  • Administer HR policies and ensure compliance with labor laws and union agreements
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning and employee engagement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in manufacturing
  • Union experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
