Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager for a full-time, on-site role located in Bronx, NY. Salary range is $80,000 - $95,000 a year.

Our client is a well-established food distribution company. The Human Resources Manager will oversee daily “People Operations” and lead a growing HR team. This is a full-time, on-site role offering the opportunity to make a significant impact in a 150-employee organization with a passion for food, agriculture, and people development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of 4 HR professionals, directly supervising 2–3 staff members
• Lead recruitment efforts with an emphasis on warehouse and sales positions
• Oversee payroll administration, benefits, labor compliance, and employee relations
• Design and deliver training and development programs to support career growth and retention
• Partner with leadership to maintain company culture and promote employee engagement
• Support strategic workforce planning and organizational growth initiatives

Qualifications:

• Proven HR management experience, ideally within food distribution, manufacturing, or related industries
• Strong recruiting skills with experience in high-volume hiring
• Knowledge of payroll, labor law compliance, and employee relations best practices
• Empathetic, people-focused leadership style with a passion for professional growth and development
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
