Base pay range
$120,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr
Schedule
MONDAY – FRIDAY 8:00am – 5:00pm; onsite 5 days a week to start, with potential for 1 day remote once fully trained.
Primary responsibilities
- Provides leadership and management to the plant Human Resources team and function, supervising one or more direct reports. Develops and administers human resources plans, processes, and procedures for plant employees.
- In conjunction with the company-wide Human Resources team, develops and administers company HR programs, policies, procedures, and practices.
- Develops HR goals and objectives that align with and support the company’s strategic goals.
- Plans and implements organizational changes with a focus on ensuring effective employee communications as part of the leadership team.
- Develops strategies to promote positive employee relations and climate of trust.
- Provides coaching, mentoring, and consulting services to managers and employees.
- Manages the performance review process; coaches managers in performance management and addressing performance issues.
- Manages company benefit programs for the plant and ensures employees understand and access their options.
- Manages recognition and reward programs for plant employees and coordinates related events and service awards.
- Develops and delivers training and development programs; ensures compliance with fair employment laws and regulations.
- Maintains accurate employment records and ensures workplace compliance with government regulations.
- Provides project leadership on select manufacturing work teams and supports the plant’s safety and risk management programs.
- Generates management reports from HRIS and performs analyses; attends department meetings and participates in annual HR planning.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field required or equivalent experience.
- PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Human Resources Manager; 2-3 years’ experience managing an HR team.
- Experience supporting a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of HR standards, policies, and applicable state and federal laws (Benefits, FMLA, COBRA, FLSA, ADA, ERISA, HIPAA, Workers’ Compensation, 401(k)).
- Microsoft Office proficiency (medium to advanced).
- Strong writing skills; Spanish preferred.
- Strong leadership, problem solving, and communication skills; ability to work with diverse teams; proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
