Summary
The Human Resource Generalist will provide support to the human resources department and employees in North America. This role provides services and support for all HR deliverables including the performance process, compensation and benefits, strategic development, employee morale and retention, investigations, legal and administrative requirements, coaching and counseling, and training.
- Conduct New Hire orientation and support onboarding initiatives
- Recruits for open positions in cooperation with Corporate Recruiter
- Play a vital role in creating and maintaining a positive and productive work environment
- Working with Managers to resolve employee disputes and grievances, conduct internal investigations, provide counseling and support to employees, and resolve employee issues, and ensure that the company follows employment laws and regulations.
- Evaluates issues, patterns, and trends to provide proactive insights for development of new policies and practices to support employee relations initiatives
- Identify and procure training requirements and needs for professional development curriculum thru internal and external resources
- Performs Exit Interviews and helps with employee surveys, focus groups and other items to monitor employee morale
- Ensure legal required postings are up to date and processes being followed
- Conducts internal investigations, resolves complex employee relations issues, and addresses grievances
- Helps facilitate Annual Performance Review process including analysis to ensure reviews are being completed
- Involvement with drafting and implementing employee coaching/counseling and improvement plans
- Consult with assigned business partners on HR functions while ensuring alignment with HR best practices and department/company goals
- Assist in facilitating the annual open enrollment meetings
- Conducting benefit audits, communicating, and counseling employees and new hires on their benefit options
- Performs training
- Other duties as assigned

- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources
- Advanced understanding of HR principles, practices and procedures
- Experience consulting with leadership at all levels
- Experience managing HR projects and ensuring HR initiatives align with company goals
- Knowledge of HR and benefits software, preferably UKG
- Knowledge of local, state and federal labor laws and regulations
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Physical Demands And Work Environment
Office Setting
- Choice of sitting or standing or alternating between them (stand-up desk optional)
- Keyboarding/typing on a computer for extended periods of time
- Moderate noise, i.e., phones, printer, light foot traffic
