JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for division-wide human resources planning and development and will recommend strategies and develop action plans in support of the company’s goals and objectives. She/he will work in a fast-paced, non-unionized setting. The incumbent will perform human resources-related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: organizational development, compensation, training, employment, health and safety, benefits, and employee relations.

Essential Functions
Provide a broad range of consultative services regarding human resource policies and processes. Must have at least 10 years of experience/knowledge of CA law.
Administer various human resources plans and procedures for all division personnel.
Ensure that all compensation policies are administered accurately and effectively as specified by the plan documents and legal statutes.
Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
Drive people processes and ensure workforce contentment. Evaluate reports, decisions, and results in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve the efficiency of the department and services.
Serve as the equal opportunity employment and affirmative action expert and be responsible for investigating complaints, communicating findings, and taking corrective action as required.
Assist leadership teams to maximize individual, team, and process performance.
Facilitate communication across the division, providing guidance on problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and litigation avoidance.
Partner with employees and management to communicate HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and regulations. Ensure effective management of cooperative approaches toward issue resolution and administration.
Lead the division in managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including requisitions, reviewing applications, interviewing, screening, and recruiting for various job levels. Prepare employment offer letters.
Facilitate and/or provide training, including orientation, to the workforce.
Respond to employee relation issues such as complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints. Represent the company in unemployment claims.
Other duties as required.
Comply with all policies and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: 4-year degree in HR, Behavioral Science, or related field required.

Work Experience
7-10 years in Human Resource Management.
