Base pay range
$65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in managing payroll processing and benefits administration while also supporting a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee recognition, succession planning, and other initiatives that foster employee engagement and organizational success. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, disability, and retirement plans.
- Manage Leave of Absence, COBRA, and Worker’s Compensation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll and benefits inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to payroll and benefits.
General HR Functions
- Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
- Lead onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
- Partner with managers to drive employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
- Assist with performance management, succession planning, and training coordination.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of HR experience with a focus on payroll and benefits administration.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and benefit plan administration.
- Familiarity with employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (Paylocity).
