Overview
Erie Home is seeking an HR Generalist who will serve as the first point of contact for HR support and play a key role in creating an exceptional employee experience. You will manage and triage requests through JIRA, ensure smooth onboarding and new hire processes, and optimize Paylocity features to support our corporate strategy. Partnering across the organization, you will deliver efficient HR services while fostering a positive and responsive workplace. This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR policy, benefits, and payroll questions
- Monitor JIRA tickets daily, assign requests, and track resolution
- Analyze HR service metrics (response times, volume, trends) and recommend improvements
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and recruiting processes, including orientations and background checks
- Maintain HRIS (Paylocity) data accuracy and prepare reports (headcount, turnover, metrics)
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters and ensure compliance with employment laws
- Assist with performance management, benefits administration, and HR initiatives
- Partner on engagement, training, and policy projects
Qualifications
- 2+ years of HR or administrative experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with Paylocity and ATS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledgeable in executing ticketing processes through JIRA
- Detail-oriented, self-driven, and able to prioritize effectively
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: $65,000, with full benefits, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, and PTO
Location
Location: On-site at our Toledo Headquarters
Schedule
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
