Overview

The Human Resources (HR) Manager plays a vital role in supporting Midwest Precision’s people and culture strategy. This position is responsible for leading all aspects of HR including recruitment, employee relations, policy development, payroll administration, benefits, safety, compliance, and training. The HR Manager partners closely with leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives, ensuring a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic HR partner to the management team, providing guidance and leadership in support of business goals.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for salaried, hourly, and non-exempt positions, including candidate sourcing, interviewing, background verification, and onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files, training records, and HR documentation.
  • Oversee payroll processing, payroll system management, time clock system administration, unemployment claims, and employee insurance information.
  • Actively participate in benefits strategy, including vendor sourcing and negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and safety requirements, including employment law, OSHA, and EHS standards.
  • Lead the company’s safety initiatives, programs, and culture; chair the employee safety team; and work closely with Plant and Facility Management to implement and maintain effective Health, Safety, and Environmental practices.
  • Co-lead the employee safety team in partnership with Plant and Facility Management, implementing programs to meet health, safety, and environmental objectives.
  • Administer workers’ compensation cases, including records management and communication with employees, third-party administrators, and insurers.
  • Maintain OSHA 300 logs and related compliance documentation.
  • Design, implement, and champion employee training and development programs in collaboration with department leaders.
  • Lead the development and communication of HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and fairness across the organization.
  • Provide HR-related content for company-wide meetings and assist with executive-level presentations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by executive management.

Education and Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or equivalent.
  • 8 – 10 years of Human Resource experience
  • Strong Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of E2 Shop System (Preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with contemporary recruiting tools and techniques
