The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Associate to join our team. The HR Associate will be responsible for overseeing the prescreen process for prospective hires and coordinating details of the onboarding process to ensure a positive new hire experience.

Additionally, the HR Associate will perform tasks including but not limited to:

  1. Responsible for planning the flow of onboarding steps in an effective manner to achieve desired start dates for each new hire joining the organization
  2. Manages prescreen process for new hires including releasing the background checks, preparing proper documentation for drug screen and physical exams and routing instructions to new hires
  3. Conducts follow-ups with vendors and government agencies to receive back proper prescreen documentation
  4. Works with the Vice President of People Development to make employment related decisions based on background and drug screening results for new hires
  5. Works inside the HRIS to close out requisitions and launch onboarding modules for new hires
  6. Works inside of the LMS to assign onboarding training courses
  7. Coordinates communications and acts as a resource for new hires through each step of the onboarding process
  8. Communicates with Hiring Manager to coordinate desk set up and direct supervisor assignment
  9. Prepares reports on the number of new hires for each week and provides feedback to the HR team on the proper flow for orientation sessions each week
  10. Assists new employees on their start day with the employment verification process, training or onboarding documentation
  11. Works closely with HR Admin and Recruiters to prepare and complete personnel files
  12. Aids with recruitment efforts for functional departments, may be involved in sourcing, scheduling and conducting interviews, and preparing new hire documentation

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or Human Resource Development
  2. Requires 1-2 years of administration/personnel experience
  3. Knowledge of the basic human resources function and laws. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  4. Must possess superior administrative and organizational skills with a strong aptitude for thoroughness and accuracy
  5. Ability to convey a positive and professional attitude towards applicants and employees, ability to work effectively with both employees and management
  6. Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of personnel work
  7. U. S. Citizenship is required
  8. Position requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
