QED Hospitality is a restaurant operations management group, focused on running Food & Beverage operations in boutique hotels and exclusive sites nationally.

We bring our operational acumen to the table, developing and managing restaurants tailored to the hotel, the region and the demands of the market. These are not cookie cutter concepts, but true restaurants born of the region and based on our history.

The ideal role for the early bird, baristas will be in charge of brewing coffee- and tea-based drinks for our guests. This is generally a fast-paced position, and multitasking and attention to detail are important skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create genuine, friendly, and professional interactions with every guest.
  • Prepare and serve a wide range of tea, coffee and espresso beverages to exact standards.
  • Assist guests with pastry selections, providing product knowledge and recommendations.
  • Maintain awareness of common food allergies and dietary needs, ensuring accurate and safe service.
  • Uphold a clean and organized workspace, including daily deep cleaning tasks.
  • Master drink crafting techniques and continuously build coffee knowledge.
  • Handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with teammates to keep energy high and service smooth during peak times.

Qualifications:

  • Previous barista or hospitality experience preferred but not required; we provide training.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while staying organized.
  • Passion for coffee, beverages, and creating a positive guest experience.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have (or be in the process of obtaining) a valid alcohol serving permit (specific permit will vary by state). Previous barista experience and knowledge of equipment. Preferred: High school diploma or GED. Skills with latte art a plus.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Mobility and dexterity to move large, heavy objects up to 100lbs. Must be able to tolerate industry standard chemicals used for cleaning/sanitizing, and be able to withstand a hot and/or close environment. Must be able to work at a fast pace, and respond to visual and aural clues.
