Job Description

• Proven working experience as a barista or quick ability to learn.
• High integrity with a great attendance record.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively.

East Rock Coffee Job Duties:

• Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
• Prepares hot and cold drinks according to customer needs.
• Maintains a clean and tidy work area.
• Follows health and safety guidelines.
• Interacts with customers professionally and regularly.
• Educates customers about our coffee, foods, and culture, explaining origins and differences in coffee beans and brewing equipment.
• Prepares and sells coffee drinks following recipes and techniques such as espresso, latte, and cappuccino.
• Attracts and maintains new customers, expanding services and products.
• Replenishes supplies like milk, cups, pastries, and cookies.
• Ensures equipment operates properly, troubleshooting and maintaining it.
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment following sanitation regulations.
• Provides excellent customer service and explores opportunities to add value.
