What you will be doing

• Provide quality beverages consistently for all customers, preparing Starbucks beverages to standard.
• Maintain condition and cleanliness of the work area.
• Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products.
• Acknowledge guest satisfaction; if there is dissatisfaction, tactfully negotiate an accommodation.
• Comply with accounting guidelines regarding receipt of payments, cash drawer and house bank management.
• Balance house bank at the end of the shift.
• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard outlet cleaning products to adhere to health standards.

What we are looking for

• Ability to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and to work under pressure.
• Previous hospitality, barista, cashiering or customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to learn all menu items and up-selling techniques.
• Basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register, make change, count total bank, prepare cash drops, and total all other charges.
• Ability to resolve conflict situations, such as inaccurate check total.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand menus, promotions, and communicate with guests.
• Ability to operate keyboard and Point of Sale procedures to handle cashier functions.
