GridUnity is seeking a Business Analyst with strong organizational and planning skills and proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking a highly motivated and self-directed individual who is comfortable working with minimal direction and supervision.

  • Meet with customers and internal resources to understand customers business requirements and how those requirements align with the features and functionality of our SaaS platform.

  • Analyze and triage how possible edge cases can fit into standard product features, features contemplated within future product roadmap or are outside the boundaries of existing work and would require out of scope customization professional services work.

  • Drive discussions with product owner and/or business partners to develop subject matter expertise in understanding the problem, the multiple processes that address the problem, and develop possible solutions

  • Actively engage product owner or business SME to translate solution needs into actionable user stories

  • Understand and translate business requirements for complex workflow systems into compliant backlogs.

  • Make detailed requirement analyses and present findings to internal and external stakeholders

  • Craft robust written communications and deliver oral communications of findings and recommendations in an effective and efficient manner to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Partner with developers on reviewing user stories for understanding and scoring

  • Write test cases for user stories

  • Partner with product owners/SMEs to define & refine acceptance criteria

  • Perform/coordinate user acceptance testing to ensure functionality meets business needs before each product release

  • Secure approval & change management activities with senior product manager or product owner before release

ABOUT YOU:

Must Have:

  • Experience in the Power industry, preferably on the Transmission side

  • 5-7 years of related experience in a Senior BA in the power industry, preferably within a SaaS environment and/or within the energy industry

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

  • Ability to work alongside other business analysts and project management teams.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet changing timelines

  • Knowledge of tools such as Google Suite, Collaboration (Slack, Confluence, etc), and Service Management software (Jira, etc.), flowcharting software such as Visio, project management software such as MS-Project

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in lean or agile methodologies

  • Experience in product management, quality assurance, or product development

  • Experience with a scripting/templating language (e.g., Python)
