Job Description
The Business Analyst will report directly to the Director, Technology Services ("TS"). This position is responsible for providing business analysis activities to support project activities in cooperation with the TS Director and Project Managers. The role requires a results-oriented individual with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and experience in financial analysis, preferably in Fin Tech, financial, or asset management sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Support the PMO and Project Managers in identifying resource requirements for projects.
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications.
- Review and edit requirements, specifications, and business processes.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and risk assessments, contributing to risk mitigation plans.
- Lead user acceptance testing efforts.
- Update documentation based on stakeholder feedback.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and development teams.
- Document and distribute meeting minutes.
- Support TS Operations with data analysis, documentation, test scripts, and onboarding requests.
- Ensure issues and defects are tracked and resolved promptly.
- Work with TS and Business Unit personnel to identify and communicate required changes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in developing new systems or operational changes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or diploma required.
- 3-5 years’ experience in business analysis.
- Proven financial analysis experience.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration and project management skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies rapidly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and Project; advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a multi-vendor environment.
- Strong work ethic and collaborative spirit.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions, Fin Tech, financial, or asset management sectors is preferred.
Salary Range:
NY: $95,000 - $100,000
Our compensation includes a base salary and a short-term incentive program. Compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.
