Business Analyst with QA Experience Hybrid (Philadelphia, PA)
Position Summary
We are seeking a Business Analyst with QA experience to join our team. This dual-role position will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, translating business needs into functional specifications, creating process flows, and collaborating with technical teams. In addition, the analyst will perform application testing, including UAT, functional, and regression testing, and provide post-deployment support and training to end users.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business and software requirements from stakeholders.
Translate business processes into clear user stories, use cases, and functional specifications.
Create diagrams (process flows, wireframes, swim lanes, etc.) to support requirements.
Act as liaison between stakeholders, business users, developers, and testers.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.
Conduct walkthroughs, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), functional and regression testing.
Convert requirements into detailed test cases and execute testing plans.
Develop training documentation, train end-users, and provide post-release support.
Maintain professional communication and composure while working across teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Business Analyst with QA/testing responsibilities.
Strong background in requirements gathering, documentation, and business process analysis.
Hands-on experience with:
SharePoint Online (Office 365)
Microsoft Teams
GitLab or other Git repositories, JIRA
Visio, Balsamiq, or other design tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently on projects from start to finish, as well as in collaborative team settings.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in government or public-sector projects.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience creating and delivering user training materials.
