Were Hiring: Sr. Business Analyst
Location: Hybrid Oakland, CA
Contract Duration: 1 year
Pay rate- $65 per hour
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to act as a key liaison between IT teams and business units, supporting system development, enhancement, and implementation. This role will also provide data and reporting solutions to meet business performance metrics and manage medium to large IT projects from concept to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, validate, and prioritize business requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for IT teams.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, surveys, and create process models, diagrams, and use cases.
- Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Support testing efforts and QA to ensure features/functions are optimized.
- Assist in software selection and evaluation, including SAP solutions.
- Develop and maintain templates, documentation, and knowledge resources for business processes.
- Communicate changes, enhancements, and project updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 710 years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and IT projects.
- Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, and working knowledge of SQL.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work collaboratively.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred:
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Experience with energy/utilities processes, asset management, or electric distribution/transmission.
- Proven ability to lead technology or business process improvement initiatives.
