This position supports the functional Business Services unit, which coordinates with Customer Account Services, One Stop, and Financial Aid & Scholarships. The selected individual will develop processes to ensure compliance with university policies, accounting regulations, and financial aid regulations. Key responsibilities include:
Data Analysis and Integrity
Work Schedule:
NDSU office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday during the regular academic year. During summer and 'break' periods, office hours 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Hiring Range:
$55,000 - $60,000 + commensurate with experience
Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.

- Reconciliations of data and accountsincluding student accounts, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Assist with external federal, state, and NDUS financial aid reporting
- Run reports and queries to be utilized in student outreach activities, decision making and reporting, and data requests
- Work to ensure tuition and financial aid are processing and posting accurately
- Provide training and serve as an informational resource to department and campus stakeholders
- Responsible for continuous process improvement by exploring and leveraging existing technologies and advising decision makers
- Utilize multiple systems and software platforms to develop automated functions and streamlined processes

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business related program, with 1-years' directly related work experience; or
- Bachelor's degree in other programmatic areas are acceptable, with 2-years' specific accounting or reconciliation experience; or
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Business related program with 5-years directly related work experience
- Reconciliation experience
- Experience in a higher education setting
- Experience with Peoplesoft Campus Solutions
- Ability to analyze and interpret data/information to make independent decisions
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Highly proficient with MS Excel and functional software
- Proven ability to work as a team member and contribute positively to the office culture
- Dedication to continuous process improvements
- Adept at learning new software
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
