St. Louis, Missouri

12 Month Contract to Hire

Hybrid - Onsite 4 days a week

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled IT Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with a strong background in mobile to join our team. This role acts as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, focusing on gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements to support mobile initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience with BPMN, UML, JIRA, and telecom/mobile platforms, along with a collaborative mindset and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed requirements analysis and gap analysis for mobile projects
• Conduct elicitation meetings with all relevant stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with internal mobile architects and development teams
• Translate business needs into clear, concise, and testable user stories with acceptance criteria
• Review and validate requirements with business stakeholders
• Review user stories with QA to ensure coverage and understanding
• Support QA teams during testing and defect triage processes
• Identify and assess upstream/downstream system impacts and dependencies
• Maintain organized meeting agendas, minutes, and action items

Tools & Documentation

• Create process flow diagrams using MS Visio or Lucidchart, leveraging BPMN and UML notations
• Document and manage user stories and tasks within JIRA
• Utilize SharePoint, Chalk sites, and internal knowledge repositories for research and documentation
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role
• Strong understanding of mobile application development cycles and Mobile 2.0 concepts
• Ability to analyze complex systems and articulate requirements effectively
• Comfortable providing constructive feedback and working independently
• Familiarity with recognizing system-level changes and their broader implications

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Octane as a testing and requirement tracking tool
• Background in telecom or mobile industry projects
• Knowledge of business process modeling using BPMN
