Medlytix is an industry leading healthcare technology company specializing in the field of predictive analytics. Utilizing sophisticated data mining and data processing functionalities, the company has successfully enhanced revenue cycles and collections for our clients across the country.

We are currently seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst with a minimum of 4 years' experience to join the Reporting & Analytics team in providing business intelligence support to internal departments and external clients. The successful candidate must possess a strong working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, a proven ability to code in SQL and experience with a programming language such as Python. Experience with AI technologies and applications is a significant plus. This position requires both analytical and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities, with a focus on client, vendor, and internal processes that deviate from established norms or thresholds.
• Partner with business units to gather, refine, and translate requirements into actionable BI deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, Finance, IT) to ensure reporting aligns with business needs and drives strategic outcomes.
• Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to answer complex business questions and resolve data-related issues.
• Design and develop Tableau visualizations and reports that drive performance optimization and highlight growth opportunities for internal teams and external clients.
• Define, track, and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure business performance and outcomes.
• Maintain, enhance, and automate existing reports to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitor and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data across systems, implementing validation processes as needed.
• Build a deep understanding of Medlytix's products, processes, and data infrastructure.
• Document processes, procedures, and data flows to ensure clarity and consistency.
• Train end users on BI tools, dashboards, and data interpretation to increase adoption and data-driven decision-making.
• Stay current with emerging BI tools, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve analytics capabilities.
  
  

Business Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer / Analyst is preferred.
• Possess creative and analytical thinking as well as a strong understanding of statistical methods.
• Good understanding of finance and/or healthcare revenue.
• Strong organizational skills, detail oriented with strict adherence to timelines and deadlines.
• Effective in multitasking & prioritization of assignments.
  
  

Technical Requirements

• Proven direct in-depth scripting/coding SQL experience.
• A knowledge of python is preferred.
• Good understanding of relational databases and database design.
• Experience with Tableau or other Business Intelligence software applications (e.g., Power BI, Oracle, etc.)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Bachelor's degree in business or technical field.
