My Dentist Duncan, a Heartland Dental Supported Practice, is looking for a Full-Time Experienced Dental Assistant to join the team. This role offers no nights or weekends, a full benefits package, quarterly bonus potential, and includes Dental Assistant Academy Training & CE Classes. Expected full-time work hours are Monday-Thursday, 7:45am-5:00pm (hours subject to change).

Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, ensuring patient comfort and providing education throughout treatment
- Review patients’ health history to provide quality care
- Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
- Provide superior chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a wide variety of procedures in line with state dental practice act
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
- Prepare treatment rooms with safety protocols following OSHA & CDC recommendations
- Manage supplies and inventory; place and expedite orders as needed
- Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Oklahoma Dental Assistant Permit
- Oklahoma X-Ray Certification
- 1 year of Dental Assistant experience
- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric, high patient-volume environment
- Team player with excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Adaptable to a changing work environment; sense of urgency; ability to meet deadlines
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
Preferred Experience
- Dentrix or other dental software experience
Physical Requirements
- Capable of performing essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
- Availability to attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically throughout the year
Additional Details
- TB test is required for all new hires in dental office positions (not applicable in FL & TN). Test arranged during pre-employment.
