Overview

Dental Assistant role at Heartland Dental. Schedule: Monday 8am-6pm, Tuesday 8am-6pm, Wednesday 8am-6pm, and Thursday 7am-4pm. Location: Tucson, Arizona 85710.

$1,500 Sign On Bonus

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey; sustain patient comfort and provide education throughout treatment
• Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to provide quality care
• Take and process X-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a wide variety of procedures
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
• Prepare treatment rooms with safety protocols following OSHA & CDC recommendations
• Manage supply and inventory levels; place and expedite orders as needed
• Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a dental assistant preferred; ability to train a newly graduated dental assistant
• Hands-on experience and confidence in taking digital X-rays
• Dentrix or other dental software experience
• Dental assisting school certification and radiology certification in AZ required
• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
• Comfortable working with new patients all day
• Strong customer service skills and ability to be the first impression to patients
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Access to minimum PHI as required for job functions; regular HIPAA training and data safeguards required

• Availability to attend virtual or in-person training periodically throughout the year
• TB test is required for all new dental office positions (arranged during pre-employment); not applicable in FL & TN
