Associated Dental Care Providers - Carondelet is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team.

Schedule: Monday 8am-6pm, Tuesday 8am-6pm, Wednesday 8am-6pm, and Thursday 7am-4pm

Experience

  • 1+ years of experience as a dental assistant preferred; ability to train a newly graduated dental assistant
  • Hands-on experience and confidence in taking digital x-rays
  • Dentrix or other dental software experience
  • Dental assisting school certification and radiology certification in AZ required
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment
  • Comfortable working with new patients and seeing them all day
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to be a great first impression to patients
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Access to minimum PHI necessary for job functions; regular HIPAA training required; must protect PHI and maintain data safeguards

More about the role

  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment
  • Review patient health history for quality care
  • Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
  • Provide chairside assistance during procedures in accordance with the state dental practice act
  • Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping
  • Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, and place orders as needed
  • Partner with providers to implement systems and maximize workflow

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Prolonged sitting and standing
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
  • Availability for periodic virtual or in-person training sessions
  • TB test required prior to employment, arranged during pre-employment; not applicable in FL & TN
