Overview

Weatherford Complete Dental, a Heartland Dental Support Practice, is looking for a Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our team. This role offers a Full Benefits Package, quarterly bonus potential, and training opportunities through the Dental Assistant Academy. Expected full-time hours are Monday-Friday, 7:45am-5:00pm (hours subject to change).

New Dental Assistant grads are welcome. This position emphasizes a patient-first approach and supports a team-oriented, collaborative office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey; maintain patient comfort and provide education throughout treatment
  • Review patient health history to inform care
  • Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
  • Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists across a range of procedures in accordance with state dental practice act
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
  • Prepare treatment room with safety protocols and in line with OSHA & CDC recommendations
  • Manage supplies and inventory; place and expedite orders as needed
  • Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Dental Assistant Permit
  • X-Ray Certification
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
  • Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work environment and meet deadlines
  • Team player; Microsoft Office Suite experience

Preferred Experience

  • Dentrix or other dental software experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
  • Availability to attend virtual or in-person training periodically throughout the year

Additional Information

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. The test will be arranged during pre-employment, and guidance will be provided. Not applicable in the states of FL & TN.
