Konikoff Dental Associates is seeking a Part-time Dental Assistant in Suffolk, VA to support our clinical team by delivering high-quality patient care in a team-oriented environment.

Part-time Hours: M 8-6:30, T 8-5:30, W 8-5:30, Sat 1x/month 7:30-12:30p

Position Overview: As a Dental Assistant, you will support the dental team during treatments, assist with patient care, and ensure smooth clinic operations. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, assist during procedures.
• Welcome and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, maintain models.
• Follow infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, ensure safety.
• Maintain accurate records, assist with scheduling and patient intake.
• Manage emergencies with CPR certification, emergency supplies, and protocols.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
• At least 1 year of on-the-job experience with supporting documentation.
• X-Ray certification.
• Nitrous Oxide certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Ongoing training in OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control is required.
