We are seeking reliable and experienced Dental Assistants to become a part of our CHSI Dental Team in Bloomington, CA. Under the direction of the Staff Dentist in charge, the Dental Assistant will maintain equipment, materials used, and supplies within the working area. Works closely with the Dentist by assisting in patient care through dental procedures, oral hygiene, restorative and surgical care, radiology exams, education and training.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Provide routine assistance to the Dentist in examination and prophylactic, therapeutic and surgical treatment of patients.
• Demonstrate well-developed chair-side assisting skills with four-handed dentistry.
• Handle and/or mix dental materials such as amalgam, temporary filling material, impressions, and cements.
• Set up standard and/or sterile trays for various operations and procedures.
• Communicate with patients regarding procedures they will undergo.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent; GED
• Experience: 6 months or more as a Dental Assistant; experience in dental/medical field preferred. New grads welcome.
• Professional License Required: Dental Assistant Certificate; current BLS Certification and X-Ray license.
• Certifications: CA Dental Practice Act Certificate; Infection Control Certificate; Pit and Fissure Sealants; Coronal Polishing; Radiation Safety
• Skills: Knowledge and use of clinical/laboratory dental instruments, supplies, and equipment; proficiency in operating laboratory and dental equipment.
