Responsibilities
The Dental Assistant provides chairside or operating room assistance to a dentist or oral surgeon. This position provides comprehensive dental care and delivery support by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials for procedures including oral maintenance, tooth repair, dental implant placement, bone grafting, and extractions. Performs administrative tasks related to patient care coordination.

Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
- Successful completion of a Dental Assistant training program approved by the Dental Board of California or equivalent pathway to licensure required
- Successful completion of Dental Board of California approved courses: Radiation Safety, Coronal Polishing, Pit and Fissure Sealants, Infection Control, and California Dental Practice Act required
- 2 years of experience as a dental assistant preferred
- Oral surgery experience is strongly desired for this role
- RDA - State of California Registered Dental Assistant required
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
