More about the role
- Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment
- Review patient health histories to ensure quality care
- Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (e.g., iTero 3D scanner, digital photography)
- Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures, following state dental practice laws
- Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping
- Prepare treatment rooms, adhering to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines
- Manage supplies and inventory, including placing orders as needed
- Collaborate with the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve office workflow

- Join our 5-person team that values collaboration, communication, and community
- Working hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 am-5 pm, and one Friday per month
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Dental assistant and/or x-ray certification as required by state law
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle PHI securely, with HIPAA training and data safeguards
Preferred Experience
- 1+ year of dental experience
- Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software
- Dental assisting school certification
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform duties with or without accommodations
- Prolonged sitting and standing
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
- Availability for periodic training sessions
- A TB test is required prior to employment (except in FL & TN)
