Heritage Dental Group is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team.

More about the role

  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
  • Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
  • Take and process X-rays and other diagnostic assessments (e.g., iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
  • Assist dentists chairside during procedures in accordance with state dental practice laws.
  • Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
  • Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
  • Manage supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement systems and improve workflow.

  • Join our collaborative 10-person team.
  • Work hours: Tuesday & Thursday 7am-4pm, Wednesday 9am-6pm, Friday 7am-2pm. No Mondays!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Dental assistant and/or X-ray certification as required by state law.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle PHI responsibly; HIPAA training will be required.

Preferred Experience

  • At least 1 year of dental experience.
  • Experience with Dentrix or similar software.
  • Dental assisting certification.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties with accommodations if needed.
  • Prolonged sitting and standing.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Availability for periodic virtual or in-person training.
  • TB test required prior to employment, except in FL & TN.
