Hero Practice Services is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists in providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients.

The Opportunity:

This role offers a unique chance to support our Heroes in serving children and young people, enhancing their overall health and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide the best possible patient experience
  2. Support optimized schedules and conduct open treatment calls to educate patients' guardians about the importance and urgency of pending treatments
  3. Take diagnostic radiographs and intraoral pictures (periapical, bitewings, panoramic)
  4. Use dental documentation software to locate and manage patient records efficiently
  5. Apply behavior management techniques following American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry guidelines
  6. Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-focused environment
  7. Ensure the practice is clean and presentable, including cleaning restrooms, lobby, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
  8. Comply with all relevant regulations (OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, employee handbook)

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a dental office
  • Proficiency with hygiene and operative instruments and understanding their proper use
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a desire for professional growth
  • Organizational skills and comprehensive knowledge of dentistry

Physical Requirements:

This position requires full body mobility. Employees must regularly sit, walk, and stand; communicate effectively; handle standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
