Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable
- Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment
- Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Provide patients with follow-up instructions after dental treatment procedures
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
Qualifications
- Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify
- X-ray certification where state regulations specify

Working Environment
This is a clinical working environment with potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours a day. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
