La Rosa Landscape Company is a well-established, year-round landscaping and snowplowing contractor serving Southeast Wisconsin for over 36 years. We take pride in keeping our fleet and equipment in top condition to deliver excellent service to our customers. We are seeking a Full-Time 2nd Mechanic to support our Fleet Maintenance Foreman in maintaining and repairing our trucks, trailers, mowers, skid steers, and snow equipment.

Position Summary

The 2nd Mechanic will work closely with our lead mechanic to keep our vehicles and equipment safe, reliable, and ready for the demands of both the landscape and snow seasons. This position is year-round and offers steady, full-time work with opportunities to expand skills in a wide range of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on light- and medium-duty trucks, trailers, and landscaping equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, oil changes, tire service, brake work, and basic repairs.
• Assist in maintaining shop organization, tools, and parts inventory.
• Support snow season operations with equipment prep, breakdown repairs, and emergency service as needed.
• Maintain accurate service records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in automotive, diesel, or equipment repair (landscape/snow industry experience a plus).
• Basic knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding equipment preferred.
• Must have a valid drivers license (CDL a plus).
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work as part of a team.
