Base pay range: $24.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced mechanic skilled in operating medium-duty trucks and small equipment for a fast-growing outdoor maintenance company.

Responsibilities

• Assess equipment needs and perform repairs cost-effectively.
• Schedule and monitor preventative maintenance.
• Maintain detailed reports of repairs, parts, and labor.
• Stay within budget constraints.
• Perform mechanical repairs using hand and power tools safely.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and proactively maintain fleet.
• Operate service trucks for repairs outside the shop.
• Maintain shop and office upkeep.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience with medium-duty trucks and snowplow equipment.
• Experience with snow removal equipment, mowers, skid steers, and similar machinery.
• Strong engine repair skills, especially with International, Cummins, Cat engines.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software for engines and electrical systems.
• Ability to work in cold weather and manage parts ordering.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Thorough knowledge of landscape and small equipment.
• Understanding of snow removal safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Efficient multi-tasking capabilities.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred).
