About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at our Headquarters in DFLT. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel trucks and equipment. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and within the required timeframe. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our fleet of vehicles and equipment are safe and reliable for our customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with diesel trucks
- Experience with welding and fabrication
- Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment
Responsibilities:
- Performing routine maintenance on diesel trucks and equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, brakes, hydraulics, fuel systems, and braking systems
- Replacing gaskets, alternators, and other parts as needed
- Maintaining accurate records of all work performed
- Ensuring that all work is completed safely and within the required timeframe
Skills:
As a Mechanic, you will use your expertise in diesel engines, brakes, hydraulics, fuel systems, and braking systems to diagnose and repair issues with our fleet of vehicles and equipment. You will also use your problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and find solutions to complex problems. In addition, you will use your attention to detail to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard and that accurate records are maintained. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be crucial in ensuring that all work is completed safely and within the required timeframe. Finally, your experience with computerized diagnostic equipment and welding and fabrication will be beneficial in this role.
