We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. The Diesel Mechanic will play a crucial role in keeping our fleet and machinery in optimal working condition.

Duties

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related components.
• Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment, ensuring all machinery is functioning properly.
• Assemble and disassemble mechanical components as needed for repairs or upgrades.
• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely during maintenance tasks.
• Conduct inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they become significant problems.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance performed, and parts used.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in heavy equipment maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, shocks, struts, and general mechanical principles.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are a plus.
