Job Opportunity: Mechanic
Location: Norfolk, VA
Pay: $20.00 – $30.00/hr
Schedule: Full-Time, Contract | 50–70 hrs/week | Up to 7 days/week (Overtime Required)
About the Role
We are seeking skilled Mechanics to support industrial and marine projects in Norfolk, VA. This role is hands-on, requiring strong mechanical aptitude to maintain, repair, and support shipyard and industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general mechanical work, including assembly, disassembly, maintenance, and repair.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to complete tasks.
- Assist with installation, inspection, and troubleshooting of systems.
- Collaborate with team members and follow supervisor instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair skills.
- Industrial or marine mechanical experience preferred.
- Ability to read/follow technical instructions and safety procedures.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and at heights.
- Must be available to work 50–70 hours per week, up to 7 days per week.
