HVAC Mechanic

ATI is seeking a highly motivated, qualified, and experienced HVAC Mechanic with an active TOP SECRET clearance. The position requires maintaining and repairing HVAC equipment throughout a new facility located in Springfield, Virginia.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adding refrigerant to or removing refrigerant from equipment
• Installing and troubleshooting heating and cooling systems
• Cutting, welding, soldering, and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures
• Replacing component and parts (pumps, pipes, fans, etc.)
• Using power and hand tools safely to support the facilities
• Maintaining air and water treatment systems
• Inspecting refrigerant systems for leaks
• Reading blueprints & schematics, utility plans, mechanical drawings, and electrical and wiring diagrams
• Entering data into a Computerized Maintenance Management System

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum TOP SECRET Clearance required - additional security clearance investigation upon hire may also be required
• Journeyman HVAC or Master HVAC license
• EPA Universal certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must demonstrate proficiency with the following:
• Familiarity with building codes, ordinances and regulations of state and local authorities pertaining to HVAC
• Proficiency with ASHRAE standards to include ASHRAE 55 -Thermal Environmental Conditions for Human Occupancy, ASHRAE 62.1 Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality, and ASHRAE 180 - Standard Practice for Inspection and Maintenance of Commercial Building HVAC Systems

Working Hours: Normal Work Hours Monday Friday (anticipate 40 per week)
