Overview
Call Center Specialist at Northern Nevada Medical Group (NNMG), part of Northern Nevada Health System. The Call Center Specialist is responsible for answering incoming calls and scheduling patient appointments, including patient registration, insurance eligibility, appointment verification, rescheduling, and the intake of other general telephone inquiries. The position also requires supporting the Call Center/practice by providing effective customer service to patients and medical offices.

Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and schedule patient appointments.
- Register patients, verify insurance eligibility, appointment verification, reschedule as needed, and handle other general telephone inquiries.
- Provide effective customer service to patients and medical offices; support Call Center/practice operations.
- Maintain organization, communication, calm disposition, and adaptability to flexible work schedules and interruptions.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional appearance; execute assignments to successful conclusions.
- Problem-solve and escalate calls to triage or supervising personnel as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Attention to detail; thorough in completing work tasks.
- Exceptional telephone manner; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic patient management systems; CPM/EMR systems.
- Proficient in office procedures; ability to type 35 wpm with 90% accuracy.
- Self-starter; detail-oriented; able to work under pressure; flexible, organized.
- Customer service principles and processes; knowledge to meet customer needs and satisfaction.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus; High School diploma or GED; Medical Office experience is a plus.
