Chesapeake Specialty Care is looking for a Call Center Representative to join our centralized scheduling and patient support team. This on-site role is an important part of our Call Center, where you'll play a key role in helping patients by managing messages, returning calls, assisting with rescheduling, and making sure their needs are met with care and professionalism.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday (no weekends)

  • 30-minute unpaid lunch break

What You'll Do
  • Manage patient messages and follow up promptly to ensure excellent patient care

  • Return patient calls in a kind, professional, and timely manner

  • Help schedule and reschedule appointments across multiple locations

  • Assist providers and patients with rescheduling needs when changes come up

  • Share accurate information about our offices, providers, and services

  • Help with insurance and billing questions, or direct patients to the right resource

  • Keep detailed and accurate notes in the electronic medical record (EMR)

  • Update patient information when needed

  • Support patients with referrals, records requests, and related tasks

  • Work closely with both clinical and administrative staff to support the patient experience

  • Take on other responsibilities as needed to keep things running smoothly

What We're Looking For
  • At least 1 year of experience in a medical call center, front desk, or customer service role preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Comfortable working with computer systems, especially EMR scheduling

  • Excellent communication and listening skills

  • Ability to stay calm, patient, and empathetic when helping people who may not feel their best

  • A team player who can also work independently when needed

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Medical office training program graduate preferred

Physical Requirements
  • Sitting at a desk and working on a computer for extended periods

  • Occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds (files, supplies, etc.)
