Overview

Position for a Cleaning Supervisor focused on post-construction clean-up. Responsibilities include supervising cleaning staff, overseeing site clean-up after subcontractors, inventory of equipment and supplies, and coordinating with contractors to ensure clean-up meets project standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction clean-up and supervise other cleaners to ensure the job is completed to standard; take inventory of equipment and supplies for the job.


• Manage site clean-up after subcontractors, preparing the area for the next subcontractor (e.g., flooring, painters, cabinetry); dispose of debris and trash properly; conduct walk-throughs with contractors to confirm expectations and follow up to ensure the clean-up meets standards.


• Post-construction cleaning of interior spaces (homes, offices, or structures) to prepare for new occupants; wipe down ceilings, fixtures, walls, cabinets, windows, mirrors, baseboards, counters, appliances, and other fixtures; sweep and mop floors and outdoor areas; use products suited to the materials being cleaned and avoid harsh chemicals on delicate surfaces such as granite, marble, or quartz.


• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications and standards; evaluate facilities to determine required work; plan and prepare employee work schedules; perform and assist with cleaning duties; check and maintain equipment; establish and implement operational standards and procedures for the department supervisor.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising cleaners in construction or site-cleaning environments; ability to oversee multiple crews and ensure quality standards.


• Strong coordination skills to work with contractors and subcontractors; ability to take and manage inventory of equipment and supplies.


• Knowledge of cleaning products and safety practices; ability to select appropriate cleaners for different materials and to follow project-specific instructions.


• High school diploma or equivalent; previous supervisory experience preferred.
