Founded in 1978, ATC Rug Washing & Specialty Cleaning Services is a third-generation, family-owned business based in Farmingdale, NY. We specialize in professional rug washing and in-home specialty cleaning services, from carpet and upholstery to tile, wood floors, and beyond. This hybrid role includes in-shop rug cleaning, in-home service delivery, and residential/commercial carpet and surface cleaning. No two days look the same, and we need someone adaptable, reliable, and physically capable of performing detailed, hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver area rugs to and from customer homes using company vehicles
• Clean rugs at our Farmingdale facility using specialized equipment and over 60 cleaning solutions
• Perform in-home services including carpet, tile/grout, upholstery, and hardwood floor cleaning
• Move furniture and other household items as needed to access surfaces
• Operate and care for high-value cleaning machinery
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Communicate professionally with clients, respecting their homes and privacy
• Assist with general shop tasks and team support as needed
  
  

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 70+ lbs (some rugs exceed 200 lbs wet, team lifting and equipment provided)
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record (required for insurance coverage)
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Fluent in English; Spanish-speaking is a plus
• Strong work ethic, punctual, respectful, and willing to learn
• Good judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions
• Experience in carpet cleaning or environmental services is a plus, but not required
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Full-time preferred, 8-hour day shifts (some overtime available)
• Competitive hourly pay at $21 to $25 per hour, based on experience
