Mercy Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Clinical Social Worker to join our compassionate team, providing vital counseling and therapeutic services to individuals navigating mental health and addiction challenges.
Responsibilities
- Become a Pillar of Support: Assess and deliver critical counseling services to patients receiving mental health and/or addiction services, making a tangible difference in their lives.
- Provide Expert Evaluation: Potentially extend your expertise by evaluating referred patients in the Emergency Room/Medical Unit for our Behavioral Health Unit.
- Deliver Comprehensive Therapy: Provide holistic therapy and case management services, including in-depth assessment, individual, family, and group therapy, empowering family psychoeducation, and discharge planning.
What You\'ll Do Everyday To Transform Lives
- In-Depth Needs Assessment: Precisely assess the behavioral health needs of patients seeking treatment for mental health or addiction services.
- Risk Management & Communication: Assess, document, and communicate risks related to potential harm to self or others, ensuring patient safety.
- Psychosocial Expertise: Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to gain a comprehensive understanding of each patient\'s situation.
- Strategic Discharge Planning: Actively participate in and implement discharge planning, ensuring continuity of care and successful transitions.
- Empowering Therapy: Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy sessions.
- Skilled Intervention: Apply evidence-based intervention techniques tailored to patient needs.
Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Qualifications
- Deep Clinical Expertise: Ability to assess, diagnose, and provide effective therapeutic interventions in complex mental health and addiction cases.
- Compassionate Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Crisis Management Skills: Ability to identify and manage risk with strong communication about potential harm.
- Oregon LCSW or CSWA with one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting (LCSW licensure required within 2 years).
- Master\'s in Social Work (MSW).
- Two (2) years of experience in evaluation and clinical intervention with a mental health population preferred.
Pay Range
$38.72 - $56.14 /hour
