Swoon is hiring an IT Help Desk – Tier 1 Support Specialist for an exciting position with one of its largest energy and utilities clients.
Duration: 12 months
Location: Onsite, Sacramento for 3-6 months, hybrid after that
Pay rate: 21$ per hour, 40 hours a week, Mon to Friday
Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 remote technical support for IT-related issues.
- Handle IT service desk and call center customer service requests.
- Assist with Microsoft Windows applications, troubleshooting, and networking.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
- Support mobile devices (iPhone, iPad) and peripheral devices.
- Monitor network alerts and escalate critical issues.
- Document service requests and follow through to resolution.
Work Environment:
- Initially 100% onsite for training and mentorship.
- Hybrid schedule available after 3-6 months based on performance.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of IT service/help desk or customer service experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise IT environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to meet attendance expectations.
- Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute (WPM).
Preferred Qualifications:
- IT certifications or relevant coursework.
- 2-4 years of IT or customer service experience.
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, and IT infrastructure.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, start time between 6:00 AM - 9:30 AM.
- Shift details to be determined.
