The IT Support Specialist provides technical support to users, acting as the organization’s front line. They resolve basic technical issues and support assigned areas to maintain customer value according to company standards.
This position requires full-time, on-site presence in our Sarasota, FL office, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line communication for user issues
- Assist with tickets related to computer systems, software, and hardware
- Respond to queries in person or over the phone
- Write training manuals and train end users
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software
- Manage peripherals for users
- Redirect problems to appropriate resources
- Guide customers through problem-solving
- Follow up and resolve issues
- Record and close tickets properly
- Suggest procedural improvements
- Maintain knowledge of help desk procedures and services
- Manage users, computers, and groups in Active Directory, Intune, and Entra ID
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; college preferred
- Knowledge of Windows OS, Apple OS, Office 365 suite, and troubleshooting in an enterprise environment
- Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, subnets, ping, tracert)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong troubleshooting and time management skills
- Customer service experience
- Problem-solving and research skills
- Passion for technology and learning
