Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our team. This individual will support network, AV, and server infrastructure across multiple manufacturing sites and must be comfortable working in a dynamic operational environment. The role requires hands-on technical abilities, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Site Operations

  • Work in environments with chemical processing risks and associated hazards
  • Drive between multiple sites within a large manufacturing complex
  • Handle and transport IT equipment across locations
  • Wear and maintain appropriate PPE (FRC, steel-toe boots, hardhat, safety glasses, gloves)

Network Infrastructure Support

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, acting as hands/eyes for remote L2+ analysts
  • Perform new infrastructure deployments (base configuration, physical install, and cabling)
  • Coordinate with cable vendors for fiber/copper installations and troubleshooting
  • Support wired, wireless, LAN, and WAN technologies

AV Support (Training Provided if Needed)

  • Set up and configure Zoom and AV room infrastructure
  • Coordinate and oversee AV vendor installations
  • Partner with AV engineering teams on room evaluation and design

Server & Storage Support

  • Provide hands-on support for server and storage systems
  • Rack, cable, and perform minor hardware repairs (e.g., hard drive replacement)
  • Escort and supervise vendors during installations or break/fix support

Project Management & Execution

  • Partner with business stakeholders to plan and deliver infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate with internal IT project teams (e.g., EMIT) to support on-site execution
  • Manage deliverables for initiatives such as:
    • Desktop deployments
    • New building constructions
    • Hardware lifecycle replacements
    • Printer infrastructure upgrades
  • Apply planning, stewardship, and change management principles

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between local sites
  • Physical ability to lift and transport equipment safely
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow (preferred)
  • DISA Background Check required

Additional Information

  • AV support experience is a plus but can be learned on the job.
  • This role includes on-call support duties. (every 4-5 weeks)
